Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Business Process Manager for our client located in Tallahassee, FL.This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1.Job Overview:Testing Support:
  • Preparing for and completing user acceptance and parallel testing of business processes in conjunction with the projects and the Division.
  • Reviewing and understanding the project functional designs to confirm that statewide payroll processes are functioning as expected and validating calculations.
  • Working with the Division and UAT support team to document testing results and resolve all issues.
  • Business Process Changes Support:
  • Understand current and future processes and evaluate change impacts based on business process models and Project documentation.
  • Providing HCM and payroll business processes subject matter expertise to the Division during working sessions with the project.
  • Providing subject matter expert recommendations and alternate business solutions to the project's business processes to better meet the Division's needs.
  • Reviewing Division payroll data needs and supporting and documenting the creation of PeopleSoft queries to meet those needs.
  • Reviewing and preparing desk procedures, job aids, and learning tools (e.g., manuals) to support the Division and agency personnel in performing the project's payroll activities.
  • Preparing the Division to identify and adapt to the business process changes with the project.
  • Collaborating with the Division Training Team to provide knowledge transfer on HCM processes for Division and Agency users.
  • Project Management Support:
  • Identifying Division risks associated with the business process changes and recommending solutions (e.g., business process changes, policy updates).
  • Use and share Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) lessons learned and best practices with the Division that may promote efficiency and help to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Identifying and recording business process change impacts (e.g., policy changes, business process updates) and working through solutions with the Division.
  • Managing tasks associated with this effort.
  • Coordinate activities with Division resources responsible for transitioning the Division to the project.
  • Collaborating with the Division to develop policy, communications, and training for the Division’s customers.
  • Assist the Division with conversion and cutover planning and execution.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7 years of IT and business/industry work experience.
  • Experience with document management, groupware, relational database systems, data warehouse and data mining, Web and systems analysis/development.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft HCM module.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Managing the day-to-day operations.
  • Ensuring the quality and timely completion of projects or services.
  • Providing technical and subject matter expertise in fulfillment of Customer SOWs.
  • Participating as a senior team member providing high-level consulting services.
  • Planning, organizing, and executing tasks in the successful delivery of projects or services.
  • Developing and defining strategic visions.
  • Planning, directing, controlling, scheduling, coordinating, and organizing the management of tasks.
  • Providing Customer interface in fulfillment of Customer SOWs.
  • Possessing authority and responsibility for the execution of Customer SOWs.
  • Planning, organizing, and overseeing all subordinate work efforts.
  • Ensuring quality standards and work performance on Customer SOWs.
  • Organizing, directing, and managing support services.
  • Applying administrative, consultative, and technical expertise in fulfillment of Customer SOWs.
  • Planning, organizing, executing, and controlling project tasks in the successful delivery of projects or services.
  • Interfacing with customers on a day-to-day basis to ensure the timely delivery of projects or services.
  • Applying a broad set of management skills and technical expertise as a project leader.
  • Providing solutions through analysis.
  • Directing subordinates in the completion of task orders.
  • Organizing, directing, and managing support services.
  • Assigning tasks and overseeing projects or other services under the Customer SOWs.
  • Directing activities in fulfillment of Customer SOWs.
  • Training Customer personnel through formal classroom courses, workshops, or seminars.
  • Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
  • Communications support for training, agency engagements, and information sharing with stakeholders.
  • Change Management.
  • Project Management of projects associated with this effort.
  • Completing testing of proposed solutions as implemented.
  • Working through testing defects.
  • Reporting and understanding retesting requirements.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
