Talascend is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Theodore, Alabama.OverviewThe role involves performing laboratory analysis, developing quality assurance documents, assisting in equipment troubleshooting, and supporting laboratory projects.Responsibilities
  • Performs laboratory analysis as directed by the laboratory manager
  • Reviews, edits, and develops quality assurance documents and work instructions under the supervision of the laboratory manager
  • Assists the laboratory manager and technicians in equipment troubleshooting and repair
  • Supports laboratory projects and continuous improvement activities
  • Calibrates and performs maintenance on ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AA, GC, TOC and all other instrumentation under the supervision of the laboratory manager
  • Performs SAP transactions related to raw materials, intermediates, and finished products and other technical activities
  • Places orders for lab chemicals and materials
Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree in Chemistry/Biology
  • Preferred: Recent graduate
