Position Overview
Our client, a growing company in the construction industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Specialist to join their accounting team. This individual will play a key role in managing AIA billing, accounts receivable functions, and ensuring accuracy across financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical accounting skills and industry knowledge, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process AIA billing for construction projects
- Manage collections efforts, including customer outreach and follow-up
- Prepare and analyze aging reports and perform AR reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records in Sage 100
- Partner with project managers and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Utilize Excel for financial reporting, tracking, and analysis
- Support the accounting team with additional tasks as needed
- 3+ years of billing or accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of AIA billing processes
- Hands-on experience with Sage 100 software
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and reporting)
- Background in collections, aging reports, and AR reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
