- Provide daily and continuous safety support to a designated region.
- This position will include 50% traditional EHS duties and 50% Training for commercial purposes, including, but not limited to, fall protection, First Aid and CPR, forklift, and respiratory protection training.
- Plan and assign tasks, fill positions, motivate, coach, and measure the performance of individual contributors.
- Establish and develop a positive team environment and performance by driving team dynamics.
- Plan and support the activities of the team that provides operational support for a business segment, group, or team.
- Develop a clear understanding of company goals and objectives to ensure the overall objectives of the team are met.
- Perform on site facility and work site visits- 8/week – 32/month – 384/year.
- Travel requirement- 80%.
- Conduct compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support AWP Safety - EHS Management.
- Maintain, audit, and update as needed AWP Safety - SOPs for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day-to-day training.
- Coach, train, guide, and mentor the regional employees through the AWP Safety Management System.
- Review accidents/incidents which occur in designated regions and conduct field audits, report and manage corrective actions.
- Participate in and support detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
- 3-5 years of work experience in the EHS field.
- EHS certification a plus
- Intermediate knowledge of OSHA orders and recognized safety regulations and standards.

- Demonstrated knowledge in conducting and evaluating complex root cause analysis investigations and evaluating the effectiveness of corrective actions and action plans.
- Knowledge of conducting hazard evaluations for complex or widely impactful / enterprise applicable jobs and recommending and evaluating the effectiveness of controls.
- Intermediate knowledge of exposure to safety and health risks.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office software applications, software management systems, EHS management systems and reporting platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to perform 50% traditional EHS and 50% Training for commercial purposes.
- The additional training responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Competency in commercial fall protection, CPR, forklift, and respiratory protection training.
- Competency or the ability to gain competency in ATSSA Flagger Certification.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully completed the OSHA 10-Hour and/or 30-Hour training and have a valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Travel requirements: 25% off island to surrounding islands.
