- Position Summary
- Two work study student assistant positions available in Child Development Center.
- Start Date
- Positions available on or after September 1, 2025 and ending on or before May 31, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Job Description/Duties
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Answering phones professionally and routing inquires/messages to appropriate person.
- Greeting and assisting families and students.
- Operating common office equipment.
- Running center errands to various departments and offices throughout campus.
- Alphabetizing, filing, purging, entering data and scanning documents.
- Cleaning, dusting and organizing the Center, which includes the kitchen, staff room, lobby, and resource rooms and other items upon request.
- Assisting Center administration with various activities within the Center; such as maintaining Center bulletin boards; assisting with Center event preparations; creating flyers, posters, and signs.
- Assisting with the Centers social media and website presence; working independently and follow instructions with various other assignment projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours a week.
- Demonstrates dependability, initiative, and professionalism.
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks and projects as they are assigned.
- Demonstrates the ability to follow directions, take the initiative and be detailed orientated.
- Demonstrates knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and other computer programs.
- Demonstrates knowledge of campus and prior office experience is helpful.
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
- Salary Range
- $16.50 per hour.
