Arcoro is looking to add an Engineering Manager who enjoys solving complex problems with a talented group of peers. As a leader within the development team, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring development staff. You will guide team members through the development projects, ensuring a quality product built efficiently. What You Will Be Doing
  • Manage the careers of 2-3 teams
  • Provide opportunities to grow team members skills
  • Create measurable objectives
  • Support team members through communications, organizational or professional obsticles
  • Recruit and assess talented Development Team members to join our team
  • Manage team projects
  • Guide team through the Scrum development lifecycle
  • Remove impediments
  • Track and report on the projects progress
  • Oversee the code review process to ensure quality in the deliverables
  • Report to the Director of Engineering, and partner with the Director of Architecture, the Director of Quality Assurance, to ensure our projects are meeting the technical, quality and process standards
  • Represent the team to other engineering discplines as well as product management, customer support, and implementations.
  • Be plugged in to the technical community keeping abreast of the latest practices and technologies
Must Haves:
  • Management Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of software development life cycle methodology, preferably within an Scrum environment
  • Stong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to partner and work across teams and levels within the organization
  • Ability to context shift among several projects and responsibilities throughout the day
  • 8+ years of Software Engineering Experience
  • 3+ years of experienceas an Engineering Manager
  • 2+ years of experience with Project Management
  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science
  • Technical Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge with Microsoft .Net C#, SQL Server and other Microsoft technologies
  • Strong knowledge of general algorithms, design patterns and good coding practices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of Entity Framework or similar ORM tools
  • Knowledge of client server and web development
  • Knowledge of Angular or similar modern Javascript frameworks
