This role integrates hardware and software to enable high-speed optical testing, data acquisition, and analysis. The engineer works closely with global cross-functional teams to enhance product quality, ensure scalability, and improve manufacturing efficiency, while continuously advancing test processes and infrastructure.   • Test System Design & Development:
  • Design and maintain automated optical test systems for new products and production.
  • Optimize test accuracy, throughput, and data reporting by evaluating and refining optical test equipment.
  • Develop global test automation software using LabVIEW, Python, VB.Net, VBA, Access DB, and SQL.
  • Build and manage robust data acquisition and storage systems for optical testing.
  • Production Support & Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead seamless transitions of test systems and software from development to production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve test system issues in manufacturing environments.
  • Drive system upgrades and process improvements in collaboration with production teams.
  • Create dashboards to visualize product performance and testing efficiency.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Partner with engineering, product management, and operations to deploy test systems.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships across global teams to support scalable solutions.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
  • Document test procedures, system architecture, software code, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental processes, procedures, and system qualification requirements.
  • Support certification testing and ensure adherence to industry standards.
What You Will Bring
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience developing automated test systems. Experience conducting industry standard optical connectivity tests utilizing optical test and measurement systems preferred.
  • System Experience: Proficiency in LabVIEW, Python, VB.Net, Access DB, and SQL to integrate optical test equipment into automated testing and data acquisition systems.
  • Skills: Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Travel: 15% domestic and international travel.
  • Languages: Fluent in Mandarin a plus.

Compensation: The expected annual base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
