Growing together.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Make outreach calls to providers for coordination of behavioral health servicesResponsible for answering provider queue calls and completing administrative authorizationsSubmit referrals to Case Management ProgramWorking with Clinical Services team and facilities under the direction of the Clinical ManagerPerform special projects under the direction of the Clinical ManagerProcess faxes, emails and other non-phone inquiriesPerform provider and appointment searches including confirmation of appointments with providersOutreach to facility providers for clinical review remindersComplete administrative paperwork, preparing letters and other documentsComplete data entry into electronic records, including Minnesota Medicaid Information SystemsAttend/participate in all required Medica facilitated meetings and/or trainingsOther duties as assignedYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED1+ years of experience with Managed Care or Call Center1+ years of Microsoft Office experience (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)1+ years of experience in an environment where solid oral and written communication skills, specifically telephonic skills were required1+ years of experience in an environment where effective organizational skills and problem-solving skills were requiredInterest in Mental Health as this position works with population that utilizes services in this areaProven ability to multi-task as priorities may be ever changingMust be a self-starter, with the proven ability to work independentlyAble to work 8am - 5pm (Central Time Zone)Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in social work or psychologyCasework experience at hospitals, social service agencies or community mental health centersExperience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patientsDual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuseExperience working with the older adult or disabled populations*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
