This position will maintain and monitor fiscal viability, provide strategic direction and manage the development and implementation of new clinical endeavors. The incumbent must be highly motivated, demonstrate initiative and share the department’s goal of expanding our clinical structure and increasing clinical revenue.Essential Functions:
- Management of finances in conjunction with the clinical component of the department including, but not limited to, understanding and assisting in developing a long term business vision with a focus on strategic initiatives
- Provides and maintains analysis of cost effectiveness, budget planning, resource utilization and performance data for clinical operations by location and provider. Identifies resource opportunities and makes recommendations to meet interdepartmental goals. Reviews and renews professional service contracts, as needed
- Monitors billing and collection trends to ensure timely submission and appropriate reimbursement. Implements reporting metrics and analytics to assist leadership team in managing business operations, clinical revenue and productivity
- Oversees administration of facilities including, but not limited to, space needs and solutions, recommendation for maximization of space, administer equipment and space lease agreements, monitor allocation of resources for equipment to ensure quality of service
- In conjunction with Medical Director, ensures compliance with governmental regulations and industry requirements with coding, billing, HIPAA and monitor all essential trainings related to these areas. Assist Medical Director to develop and implement clinical service standards to include patient experience, scheduling and optimal workflow to improve quality of service
- Monitors human resource activities to include developing recruitment plans, pro-formas, strategic initiatives, identifying funding sources, creation of new positions, incentive plans and benefits information
- Responsible for preparation, coordination, and accountability for departmental business activity to UofL L and ULP personnel to ensure meeting established deadlines, reporting requirements, compliance with U of L and ULP processes and workflows, and resolution of issues to secure and maintain positive cash balance for both within U of L and ULP
- Partners with ULP Human Resources on all personnel matters including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and progressive disciplines, including terminations for all team members
- Assists Department Chair and leadership team in identifying new initiatives for program development. Develops and maintains professional relationships with leadership team, division chiefs and administrative personnel
- Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
- Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration or Related Field (required)
- Masters’ Degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration or Related Field (preferred)
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an administrative/supervisory role (required)
