Title: Ergonomics Engineer ILocation:San Antonio, TX, US, 78222Requisition Number: 209853Job DescriptionCintas is seeking an Ergonomics Engineer who will play a critical role in the Cintas Ergonomics program by creating engineering solutions and improving work practices to reduce the occurrence of musculoskeletal disorders and enhance workplace safety. The Ergonomics Engineer will work with a broad range of external vendors and partners across the corporate to design, enhance and implement ergonomic solutions that improve the safety and efficiency of the jobs performed at Cintas.Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Improvement / Innovation - Determines and provides input to improve equipment, job task modifications and designs. Responds to evaluation requests from Health and Safety and Engineering with some guidance from Corporate Ergonomist, Ergonomics Coordinator, or Health and Safety Director.
  • Job Analysis - Collect data and analyze the production processes. Assist in evaluating job roles and tasks for ergonomic risks and propose solutions to improve safety and efficiency.
  • Recommendations - Recommends ergonomic solutions for improving process flow, manual material handling, reorganizing workflow, and relocating workstations and equipment.
  • Project Management - Coordinates simultaneous ergonomic projects within the expected timeframes. Ensure that outcomes meet internal and external customer requirements. Request additional resources as necessary.
  • Vendor Management (External) - Identifies, manages and maintains relationships with vendors, contractors and suppliers and monitors their performance. Establish new relationships as needed to support ergonomic initiatives.
  • Safety, Health and Environment - Improves safety through ergonomic initiatives, equipment designs and process changes.
  • Project Support - Assist ergonomics management with ergonomic projects, events, and engagement activities.
  • Training Development and Delivery - Provide ergonomic training to partners in all divisions as needed.
Skills/QualificationsRequired
  • Technical or Engineering Bachelor's Degree OR minimum of 2 years of experience in a Health and Safety role
  • Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency using standard office equipment
Preferred
  • Ergonomic experience such as: conducting basic job evaluations, RULA/REBA assessments, leading ergonomic teams, creating engagement opportunities, and/or conducting ergonomic training perferred
  • 2 years+ of experience in Cintas operations environment
  • Managerial experience (not required)
