- Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have
- Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all times
- Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure
- Assist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures
- Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate images
- Responsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygiene
- Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities and assist in maintaining Performance Improvement Programs (PIP)
- Maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain your register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Graduate of a program accredited by ARRT
- Radiology license as required by State
- Effective 07/01/2015, CT ARRT Certification
- Must maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire
- Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic/Fluoroscopic equipment
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Proficient computer skills
- One year of acute, clinical radiology experience
