- Properly wrap and package fragile equipment and instruments to ensure safe shipment.
- Receive, inspect, and document all incoming items, including new, used, service, and non-inventory items.
- Assign bin locations and enter item details into the inventory management system (SAGE100).
- Process billing for outgoing shipments, excluding service and capital shipments.
- Enter authorized credit card purchases and material requisitions into the system.
- Print picking sheets, pack items, and calculate freight charges.
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to load and unload equipment and supplies.
- Maintain knowledge of shipping regulations for UPS, FedEx, and motor carriers.
- Perform periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Conduct routine maintenance of inventory records, including bin locations and vendor part numbers.
- Perform light building maintenance (e.g., replacing light bulbs, snow removal, and trash disposal).
- Cross-train with other team members to provide backup support when needed.
- Transport and deliver items to customers as required.
- Maintain delivery vehicle cleanliness and schedule routine maintenance.
- Keep a log of mileage and inventory at customer sites.
- Pump and transport chemicals at customer locations following proper safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper paperwork is completed for all transported items.
- Load and unload delivery trucks as necessary.
- Order warehouse, office, and shipping supplies as needed.
- Process returns and obtain credits for incorrectly ordered items.
- Review freight bills and file claims with shipping carriers when necessary.
- Stay current on all required hazardous materials (HAZMAT) training and regulations.
- Enter purchase orders and follow up with vendors on order status.
- Order standard stock, backordered, and non-stock items.
- Generate reorder reports for warehouse inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Experience with SAGE100 preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and maintain professionalism.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and organization.
- Competence in operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) materials is a plus.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, listen, and communicate.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, as well as kneel, stoop, or crouch.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes for handling heavy equipment.
- Must have strong depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
