Augusta Judicial Circuit – Assistant Public Defender IVThe Augusta Judicial Circuit is seeking to fill an Assistant Public Defender IV position. This office serves Richmond County. The primary duties include managing staff attorneys, administrative staff, and representing indigent clients with criminal case(s) in Superior Court felonies, sometimes Juvenile Court delinquencies. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position. This Assistant Public Defender will be responsible for preparing and presenting cases for trial and entering pleas, conducting legal research, preparing and presenting complex documents, pleading compilation, orders, etc. This position will advise and counsel other attorneys as to the case management practices of handling their assigned cases.
