Able to set-up the packaging lines, do changeovers, assemble/ disassemble packing lines, cleaning, and training. Able to perform all the positions on the line, Ex., able to cover as a packer and material handler (palletizer) as needed.Processing Operators: Qualified to run at least two Enrobing lines on the wet processing end.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:Packaging Operators:Set up the lines at the beginning of the shift.Fill out the First Perfect Piece (document specifications completion)Performs CCP & CQP – metal detector checksMonitor weights of productsAbility to determine when and how to shutdown linesAble to handle routine duties including zipper change, film change, corrugate material to packTroubleshoot issues with knives, scales, weights, jams, tape machines, censorsTraining of new packers and material handlersMonitors and tracks productivity through accurate documentationLooks for opportunities to maximize line effectiveness, ex. Speed up linesResponsible for paperwork associated with consumptionsFollows all GMP rules and regulationsAssist in all positions/ jobs involved in the line (s) as needed or directed by managementPerform allergen cleansPerform tool changesCleaning lines and production floor as neededOther duties as assigned by managementProcessing Operators:Set up the Enrobing linesTemper the Enrobing linesManage the speed and quality of the linesUnderstand the components of the different products, nuts, caramel, chocolate, pretzelsManage chocolate temperature readingsMake proper adjustments to the lines, as needed.Assemble and disassemble water belts, conveyors, pumpsFilter changesIdentify root cause for clogs, frozen lines, leaks, build-upHeat up pipingNeeds to monitor production on the Dry EndRecommends suggestions for improvementRequired to read, understand, and follow all customer specificationsChangeoversCleaning of lines and full allergen cleansEffective training of new or current team membersMonitors and tracks productivity/ quality and looks for opportunities to maximize line effectivenessMonitors and controls weights of productsResponsible for monitoring, tracking, and completing all paperwork associated with consumptionsFollows and ensures that all GMP rules and regulations are followed on the linesAssist in all positions involved in the line as needed or directed by managementOther duties as assigned by managementSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:6 months of manufacturing experience for Packaging Operators1 year of manufacturing experience for Processing OperatorsAbility to read and understand customer specificationsBasic math skillsQUALIFICATIONS:High School diploma or equivalent requiredADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:Base starting rate ranges from $18.00 to $20.00/hr. The base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
