Under general and close supervision, to perform a variety of dental hygiene procedures and related duties as required, including assist the Dentist and Front Desk if requested.Essential Functions: * Oral examination and perio-probing.
  • Head and neck examination.
  • Record health history.
  • Take and record blood pressure and vital signs.
  • Take intra-oral and extra-oral radiographs.
  • Oral hygiene instruction.
  • Apply topical preventative or prophylactic agents.
  • Polish and smooth restorations.
  • Oral prophylactics and removal of deposits and stains from the surfaces of teeth.
  • Perform sub-gingival and supra-gingival scaling.
  • Perform root planning.
  • Make chart entries on procedures completed on patient.
  • Keep dental area clean-sets up and breaks down hygiene unity in compliance to infection control standards in the clinic.
  • Assists dentist in emergency situations.
  • Performs other duties, as requested.
  • Soft tissue curettage.
  • Give injections of local anesthetic
  • Place restorations into the cavity prepared by the dentist, and thereafter carve, contour, and adjust contacts and occlusion of the restoration.
  • Administer nitrous oxide.
  • Apply sealants.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from a State approved dental hygiene program.
  • Washington State Dental Hygienist license.
  • Current BLS
