POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for client education, transition planning and milieu supervision/activities at Serenity House Treatment Center. Peer support models recovery and assist clients in planning for the stresses associated positive living. This position is responsible for promoting a positive community view of recovery. Peer Support staff supervise clients during the daytime and overnight hours and may be required to transport clients to program activities. Prepares all meals served at Serenity House and is responsible for knowing all relevant food safety codes. Oversees the overall cleanliness and safety of the treatment center.REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and write English proficiently
Food Worker Card required within 30 days of employment
Valid AK drivers license.
PREFERRED:
Training in food services or food preparation such as chef or culinary training
Two years experience in the food service industry including experience in food preparation.
