What You'll Do:In this remote role, you'll be responsible for managing and maintaining our critical Oracle database systems, as well as designing, developing, and implementing robust data integration solutions. You'll have the opportunity to work independently while contributing to impactful projects that make a real difference. We value team members who take initiative and have the confidence to navigate challenges and drive results.The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database instances across various environments (development, testing, production)
  • Perform database upgrades, patching, and migrations
  • Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access control and data encryption
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity
  • Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely support to application development teams
  • Expert knowledge in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning
  • Stay up to date with the latest Oracle database technologies and best practices
  • Has Cloud Data Engineering knowledge or Willingness to learn and contribute to data engineering tasks, including ETL development
  • Participate in the planning and execution of Oracle database migrations from on-premise environments to AWS RDS for Oracle
What You Need:Level of EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Prior Experience
  • 7-10 years of prior experience as an Oracle DBA
  • Deep understanding of Oracle database architecture, administration, and performance tuning
  • Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Shell scripting, Python)
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies
  • Prior experience with Cloud Data Engineering is preferred
  • Prior experience in a CRO/pharmaceutical environment preferred

Additional Requirements
  • Requires limited travel and the ability to work from the Princeton, NJ headquarters on an as-needed basis.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,000-$160,000 with bonus potential.
