- Lead the development, assessment, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive career education curriculum embedded across academic programs and co-curricular experiences.
- Collaborate with faculty, academic departments, and campus partners to embed career readiness competencies into courses, programs, and advising models in a variety of modalities.
- Through collaboration with Career Services Network team members, design and deliver workshops, seminars, and digital learning modules on topics such as career exploration, job search strategies, graduate/professional school preparation, and lifelong career management.
- Assess student learning outcomes related to career readiness and leverage data to improve programming and resources.
- Administer and interpret career assessments in individual and group settings
- Partner with employer relations teams to integrate industry insights into career education initiatives, ensuring alignment with market needs.
- Lead training for career advisors, faculty, and academic staff on effective career education pedagogy and advising techniques.
- Develop and implement university-wide career readiness credential program.
- Supervise College Assistant Directors and Career Consultants to provide consistent access to career resources throughout the university.
- Lead team to accomplish goals, assess effectiveness, and implement improvements.
- Mentor staff responsible for career education programs and initiatives.
- Coordinate team meetings and one-on-one sessions to enhance communication.
- Meet with supervisees (and joint supervisors when applicable) to review expectations, set performance excellence goals, and conduct annual reviews.
- Convene career education group to provide relevant training on current trends in career development, employer expectations, and the future of work, incorporating best practices into curriculum and programs.
- Serve on Career Services Network Leadership Team to provide direction for the department at large.
- Assist with the development of departmental goals, strategic initiatives, and assessments.
- Operationalize plans derived from strategic planning and internal/external reviews, incorporating change management strategies to ensure effective implementation.
- Build and sustain strong professional relationships and networks.
- Prepare written communications, annual reports, and multi-media materials for distribution to constituents and stakeholders. Contribute to Career Services Network and other campus publications.
- Maintain professional memberships in related career services and development professional organizations.
- Represent career services on various student success campus committees and contribute to initiatives.
- Provides first-level supervision of regular employees and may provide second level supervision over student employees.
- No assigned responsibility.
- This position plays a pivotal role in shaping a campus-wide culture of career readiness, equipping students and alumni with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to navigate their professional lives successfully.
