ResponsibilitiesThe Drafter III is responsible for providing computer aided design (CAD) drafting, preparing drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, Red Lines, and sketches.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create accurate OSP network maps
- Prepares drawings and designs according to client engineering specifications using applicable software
- Provide support to other internal teams as needed such as permit packages and traffic control plans
- Make design decisions regarding construction and safety methods in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations as well as client supplied information
- Preparing detailed Construction Drawings to clients adhering to industry standards
- Communicating with internal staff and clients over phone and email
- Production/Time management of multiple workflows
- Performing quality checks on plan design drawings
- Familiarity with telecom projects detailing outdoor equipment, indoor building layouts and fiber diagrams
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player
- Excellent verbal & written communications skills, relationship building, self-starter, excellent time management and organizational skills

- Ability to work as part of a team or independently
- Ability to set up and manage CAD drafting and plan preparation standards
- Ability to read information and instructions and interpret and analyze contents from materials such as technical reports
- Ability to solve problems that are frequent and unique. CAD draftsman may need to use creativity and judgement due to frequently changing conditions
- Ability to complete tasks with latitude to decide what work will be required well in advance of actual activities
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
- Min. 2-Years of experience working with OSP permitted construction plan sets.
- 2-Year Technical or Associate Degree in CADD preferred
- Ability or knowledge of using the following machines, tools, equipment, electronic devices and software; Excel, Word, Auto CAD, O-Calc.
