When we contribute to the company’s success, we all win.In our organization, the Manufacturing Assembly Test Tech has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments.POSITION SUMMARY:Under direct supervision, set up and test production parts as well as Research & Development (R&D) parts for the Aerospace group. Build test fixtures, record data, and review test procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform mechanical assembly of components
  • Testing of production parts as required by MIP’s.
  • Testing of R&D parts as required.
  • Build & setup of test equipment.
  • Calibrate test gauges and pressure transducers as required to perform production testing
  • Generate and maintain various reports concerning production and testing.
  • Understand and assist in equipment setup and production support.
  • Ensure current testing procedures are being used.
  • Coordinate with quality department witness hold points for production testing
  • Assist on production floor when required (load/unload molds, load/unload trucks, etc.)
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 2 years of related college coursework; or high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year of related testing experience, preferably in the rubber industry or related field.
  • Computer proficient (Email, Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematics.
  • Read tape measure, calipers, Pi tape, and dial indicators.
  • Use cutting equipment and hand tools.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting.
  • Moderate walking, reaching, bending pushing & pulling.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50lbs without assistance. Over 50lbs with assistance.
  • Exposure to chemicals.
  • Work in the heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
