Description :Role summary:The Data Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports an organization’s strategic goals. This role ensures that data is accurate, accessible, secure, and aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex data systems and actionable insights, enabling efficient decision-making across departments.Key Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:
  • Design and develop scalable data architecture solutions, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes
  • Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Create and maintain data models, metadata, and data dictionaries
  • Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Lead data integration efforts across disparate systems and platforms
  • Support data migration and modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and bottlenecks
  • Mentor data engineers and analysts on architectural best practices
Key Criteria:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related science field
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
  • Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
