- Standard Solution Development: Design and develop standard solution sets for large, complex projects, ensuring consistency and efficiency in deployment.
- Technical Leadership: Provide end-to-end technical support for Rockwell Automation solutions, from device to cloud, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Market Pricing: Understand and analyze market-level pricing to ensure competitive and cost-effective solutions.
- Training and Enablement: Train Rockwell technical resources and partners on how to market and deliver solutions, enabling them to execute projects without direct involvement from the Lighthouse team.
- Project Leadership: Organize and lead cross-functional project teams to address unique business opportunities, determining fit and strategy for Rockwell Automation Lighthouse Industry Solutions.
- Industry Engagement: Represent Rockwell Automation at network seminars and trade shows, both independently and in collaboration with partners.
- Market Analysis: Collect, analyze, and communicate market data, including competitive information, trends, key wins/losses, and service development needs to the Business Unit product management teams.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with the Lighthouse Team to develop the Scope of Supply and Bill of Materials for proposals, ensuring risk reduction through thorough review and guidance.
- Business Development: Support the identification of new business opportunities, breakdown specific customer requests, and assist in the proposals/sales process.
- Revenue and Objectives: Achieve assigned targets in terms of business revenue and management objectives.
- Customer Strategy: Evaluate customer needs and develop strategies to achieve acceptance and adoption of Rockwell Automation products and software, aligning technical, marketing, and contractual approaches with organizational objectives.
- Negotiation: Negotiate commercial features and arrangements with potential business partners, customers, and internal groups, effectively representing Rockwell Automation.
- Market Competitiveness: Understand the electrical equipment marketplace and competitive offerings to develop competitive Rockwell Automation solutions.
- Collaboration: Actively collaborate with Rockwell industry and application experts to keep the Lighthouse standard offering current with Rockwell's latest product introductions, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field in Control Technology.
- Typically requires a minimum 8 years of experience in consultative sales support and Control Project engineering, with a focus on Process Control and Machine Control projects in the industrial space.
- Proven experience managing conflicting demands and expectations in complex environments.
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical projects and equipment, including Rockwell Automation Power Products and non-Rockwell products as required.
- Strong consulting skills, including written, oral, analytical, and presentation abilities.
- Experience with Power, Automation, and Network systems in industrial environments.
- 8 years of technical sales support in Control system implementation.
- Previous sales experience is highly desirable.
