Porter for Apartment Community

• Perform daily grounds sweep for debris and/or garbage; dispose of all accordingly.
• Adhere to daily watering schedule during applicable months. Remove and store all sprinklers and hoses when the work is completed for the day.
• Assist with changing out seasonal plantings.
• Inspect all dumpster corral areas after the refuse hauler has emptied them that day. Pick up any garbage left on the ground in the corral and dispose of in the dumpsters.
• Perform ALL maintenance work at community as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. This includes but is not limited to make-readies, work orders, cleaning, preventative maintenance, snow removal and salting, and building appearance.
• Report all hazards to the maintenance supervisor immediately.
• Follow all safety guidelines as noted in the International Village Safety Manual. Report any hazards to the Maintenance supervisor immediately. Use protective masks while painting as necessary.
• Report any work-related injuries immediately to Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager. Follow recommendations of our company and worker’s comp insurance regarding medical treatment.
• Work as a team with your co-workers to assure the overall building quality and maintain team moral as required.
• Assist cleaners and maintenance technicians as requested.
• Paint apartments, hallways, and exteriors of the property as needed and instructed by Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager. Use correct techniques to minimize paint use, spills, and errors. Work quickly and efficiently to maintain our regular schedule.
• Assist cleaners and maintenance technicians as requested.
• Exercise care when entering occupied apartments for “renewal rewards” or to repair drywall or water damage. Use honesty, respect, and efficiency when working in occupied apartments. Use drop cloths as necessary to minimize damage to the personal belongings of residents.
