- Serve as the primary legal point of contact on assigned productions, managing all legal matters from development through delivery.
- Draft, review, and negotiate production-related agreements, including talent, location, vendor, music, and licensing contracts.
- Provide strategic legal guidance on clearance, labor law, and risk mitigation to ensure creative freedom while protecting company interests.
- Conduct rights analysis and deliver clear contract interpretations to stakeholders.
- Support compliance with labor laws, guild requirements, and corporate policies, leveraging a strong background in labor and employment law.
- Collaborate closely with production, finance, and senior legal executives to align legal strategy with business goals.
- Perform additional legal and business affairs duties as needed in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Conduct regular set visits to ensure compliance with California state law, guild obligations, and workplace safety standards, while serving as an accessible resource for production teams on-site
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the California Bar.
- 3–5 years of experience practicing entertainment and production law, with direct experience in film, television, or digital media.
- Solid foundation in labor and employment law with the ability to advise on guild, union, and workplace matters.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-volume environment with shifting priorities.
- Passion for storytelling, creative industries, and building innovative entertainment experience.
