We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Business Analyst to act as a strategic liaison between IT and business teams. In this role, you’ll provide support across software applications with a focus on business analysis, data analysis, quality assurance, and help desk coordination. You’ll help drive successful project outcomes by gathering, documenting, and translating business needs into functional technical requirements.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a key link between internal/external stakeholders and software development teams to facilitate the flow of requirements.Understand and interpret business processes and customer requirements, translating them into clear, actionable software requirements.Gather requirements through a variety of methods, including interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, process mapping, and use cases.Analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources, resolve conflicting data, and distill complex issues into clear, concise documentation.Collaborate on project planning and execution by understanding timelines, objectives, and individual responsibilities.Assist with data collection and consolidation to support requirement documentation and decision-making.Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies, support system overrides, and contribute to data mapping efforts across platforms.Create clear, grammatically correct documentation of business needs and functional requirements.Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to define user interface and system integration requirements.Provide mentorship and serve as a backup for other Business Analysts, offering guidance to junior team members.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in IT business analysis or software application support.Familiarity with the insurance industryProficient in Microsoft SQL Server and experienced in querying databases.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills.Strong understanding of technical systems, designs, and functional specifications.Effective verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with strong organizational skills.Self-motivated and capable of working independently while knowing when to escalate or seek guidance.
