We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Supply Chain/ Quality Coordinator within our Branch Management team to help support our Home Furniture business. We need the best people on our team to support our strategy, and your work will ensure people around the world have a little more comfort in their lives.As a Supply Chain/Quality Coordinator, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing the supply chain operations for our branch, ensuring efficient and streamlined processes. Additionally, you will be an integral part of the Branch Management Team, collaborating with colleagues to provide support and assistance across various areas as needed.So, what will you be doing as a(n) Supply Chain/Quality Coordinator?
  • Manage purchase orders, including delivery status issues, and communicate changes to Production Control
  • Order production materials and supplies per MRP
  • Actively pursue cost reduction measures, including ongoing audits to assure price competitiveness
  • Build and strengthen supplier relationships and collaborate with suppliers
  • Direct responsibility for and improving forecasting, inventory levels, service levels and inventory turns
  • Review and maintain documentation required to support product traceability, product audits, and financial audits
  • Participate in discussions of new projects including specifications and potential suppliers
  • Manage rejections and resulting supplier debits
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • Associate's Degree in a Business related field preferred
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role such as Supply Chain Analysis, Inventory Management, and Process Optimization
  • 5-10 years total relevant work experience
  • optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft D365 and Excel
