
Software Product Manager

- Define and maintain strategic software product roadmaps aligned with customer needs, industry trends, and company goals.
- Translate market needs into product requirements and ensure alignment across departments throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop and manage Market Requirement Documents (MRDs) with input from internal stakeholders and customers to ensure they reflect real-world use cases and industry demands.
- Collaborate with Engineering to define product specifications and performance benchmarks.
- Support Marketing and Sales with technical documentation, white papers, and industry publications.
- Lead product launch activities, ensuring readiness across pricing, documentation, training, and support.
- Track and report KPIs (sales, cost trends, margins, warranty expense) to guide strategic decisions and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide expert-level support to Sales and customers, including technical inquiries and custom configurations.
- In collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing, evaluate non-standard product requests for feasibility, pricing, and lead times.
- Create and deliver training materials for internal teams and customers.
- Conduct competitive analysis and identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation with support from industry management.
- Ensure integration and compatibility with external software and automation systems.
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, data science, or a related field (master's preferred).
- 3-5 years of product management experience, ideally in B2B process automation markets.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines, adapt, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience leading cross-functional team collaboration, working through conflict constructively, and driving projects to completion.
- Knowledge of software development, process automation architecture, and GMP-related software requirements.
- Experience with analytical instrumentation, spectroscopy (including roto-vibrational), and multivariate data analysis (PCA, PLS).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP, CRM, and data reporting tools is a plus.
- Understanding of product development processes, SOPs, and digital workflows.
- Integration experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA systems, and data historians.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
