This role leads system-wide improvement initiatives to advance SHS as a High Reliability Organization, driving measurable gains in quality, efficiency, and performance across departments. Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and the effective use of Lean Principles through the organization-wide process improvement education, promoting a culture of learning and development in process improvement methodologies. Responsible for overseeing process improvement initiatives, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational processes, and supporting the organization's continuous improvement efforts. Leads initiatives that result in a combination of reduced costs and/or increased revenues that exceed the cost of implementing, including salaries/wages/benefits associated with this role.Regulatory/Educational Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, in Engineering, Statistics, Healthcare, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Black Belt Certification from a nationally recognized organization or company in the field of Lean Six Sigma preferred or Lean Green Belt Certification from a nationally recognized organization or company, with a commitment to completing a Black Belt program within the first 18 months of employment.
  • 3-5+ years of previous experience as a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or relevant experience leading successful cross-functional project teams preferred.
Language Skills:
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
Basic Skills:
  • Basic computer knowledge includes but not limited to Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and Kaizen.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to conceive and collaboratively develop strategic plans.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others to execute plans.
  • Proficient in statistical data analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in process mapping, process design/redesign, and workflow management.
  • Proficient in software and spreadsheet applications used in process improvement.
