You may upload all three on the application under CV/Resume or upon answering the questionnaire you may attach the documents.Schedule: Work beyond normal business hours and/or work on weekends when needed.Please note: This position is grant funded; future employment may be contingent upon future funding.QualificationsRequired EducationBachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)Two years of related experience in health simulation project coordination or managementRequired Licenses and CertificationsActive and unencumbered RN license in TexasCore RNCNRP certifiedPreferred QualificationsMaster’s prepared registered nurse with focus in nursing educationThree years of related clinical experience in maternal healthThree years of related experience with clinical simulationExperience in curriculum development or educational program planningCertified Healthcare Simulation Educator with maternal child experienceElectronic Fetal Monitoring (NCC or AWHONN)RNC-OB certifiedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to multitask and work cooperatively with others.Knowledge of evidence-based maternal care practices (prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care).Experience managing OB maternal child emergenciesStrong Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Strong time management and organizational skills.Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.Ability to manage Zoom and Microsoft Teams platforms for meetings.Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare-related software.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.ResponsibilitiesProgram and Project ManagementCoordinates OB Emergency Simulation activities, collaborates with project team members, develops measurable project goals and objectives, and monitors progress toward achievementCo-facilitator during simulation education sessions, provides hands-on guidance and feedback to ED staff, including nurses, midwives, and physiciansPlans, develops, implements, and evaluates the OB Emergency Simulation projectUtilize simulation equipment and tools effectively to create realistic and educational scenarios, fostering a safe learning environment for participantsProvide clinical insight based on L&D experience to enhance realism and learning outcomesAssist with setup and breakdown of simulation equipment (including OB manikins)Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing maternal health outcomes including data collection, analysis, and reportingTravel to rural hospitals for in-person sessionsMay develop project budgets and prepare contracts as neededTeam Collaboration and SupportPerforms advanced program and project development, disseminates project information, and serves as an active participant in project-related work groups and committeesProvide mentorship and support to rural healthcare providers, offering guidance on best practices and up-to-date obstetric care techniquesCollaborates with clinical experts and simulation faculty to deliver program contentSupports debriefings and clinical education discussions post-simulation.Contributes to research activities related to telehealth and obstetric simulation, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to advance maternal health knowledgeProvides recommendations to achieve goalsDocumentation and CommunicationsContributes to the development of educational materials, including manuals, guides, and online resources, to support ongoing learning and skill development in rural emergency departmentsPrepares agendas for meetings, documents key decisions, and collaborates with team members to develop project collateralDevelops and disseminates work plans and project documents to include procedures, proposals, progress reports, and presentationsPerforms other duties as assignedProfessional Development and LicensureEngages in continuous professional development by attending relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to stay current on maternal health best practices and telehealth innovationsMaintains active licensure and certification as a Registered Nurse and pursues additional certifications as necessary to enhance role competencyWhy Texas A&M University?We are a prestigious university with strong traditions, Core Values, and a community of caring and collaboration.
