- Unit Description: 30-bed unit serving adults ages 18-65 with diverse mental health and medically acute needs
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse (Locum Tenens)
- Assignment Duration: 15 weeks (Start: 9/21/2025 End: 1/3/2026)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights); every other weekend required
- Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 7-8 patients
- Charting System: EPIC
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780$1910
- Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient adult psychiatric nursing experience
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Certification in De-escalation
- Proficiency with automatic medication dispensing systems (Omni Cell)
- Experience with psychotropic medications and side effects
- Competency in IV pumps and diabetic patient care
- Ability to assume charge nurse responsibilities
- Knowledge of Massachusetts Department of Mental Health regulations, restraint/seclusion protocols, and legal statuses
- Strong documentation skills (preferably EPIC)
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult psychiatric patients, including dual diagnosis and medically acute cases
- Administer and monitor psychotropic medications, IVs, and diabetic care
- Complete patient admissions and discharges
- Serve as charge nurse when required
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Participate in AVADE and lead EKG training on-site
- Float to other psychiatric units as needed
- Uphold patient rights and comply with Massachusetts mental health regulations and legal requirements
