RENDERING SUPERVISOR - 3RD SHIFT

- Extensive knowledge and technical skill of rendering facility.
- Prior supervisory experience highly recommended.
- Good interpersonal relations; ability to handle conflict.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Work 40+ hours per week in rendering facilities
- Possible exposure to slippery floors, extreme temperature variations, loud noise, strong odor, chemicals, machinery and vehicles.
- Supervise, evaluate and direct personnel on shift in performing operations according to sound operating principles and company policies and procedures.
- Stimulate maximum efficiency and productivity of rendering employees; ensure proper training of employees.
- Anticipate and determine causes of delays in operations and take appropriate actions to meet schedules.
- Apply company employee relations policies in all dealings with employees.
- Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production.
- Arrange to have appropriate records prepared and maintained (i.e., payroll, vacations, orders, weights).
- Arrange for trucks and railroad cars to be filled with appropriate product when scheduled; complete necessary paperwork.
- Work closely with other supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in each department and in plant facility.
