- Setting up new computer systems, including hardware and software installations.
- Configuring network equipment like routers, switches, and servers.
- Installing and configuring operating systems and software applications.
- Connecting workstations to networks and servers.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Providing technical support to users via phone, email, or in person.
- Troubleshooting network connectivity problems.
- Responding to user requests and resolving issues related to computer systems and applications.
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation.
- Performing regular system backups and data recovery procedures.
- Monitoring network performance and security.
- Ensuring network security by implementing and updating firewalls and other security measures.
- Maintaining hardware and software inventory.
- Upgrading computer systems and networks to improve performance and security.
- Conducting preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Assisting with the design, implementation, and support of new software and features.
- Training users in new hardware and software.
- Communicating with other IT staff to resolve complex issues.
- Keeping current with the latest technologies and security threats.
- Associate s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- CompTIA A+ Certification or appropriate network certifications.
- Three to Five years of experience in a help desk support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient oral and written communication.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
- Multitasking and completing projects according to scheduled deadlines.
