- Review, update, create, and maintain DPW-ED GIS data layers in compliance with SDSFIE, QAP, and FGDC CSDGM metadata standards.
- Conduct quality assurance checks, prepare quarterly data quality reports, and package data for the ISR Service 425 data call.
- Maintain and version-edit data within the Fort Bliss SDE SharePoint and database/Tracker environment.
- Create custom digital and hardcopy maps to support environmental management and decision-making.
- Develop new GIS layers using spatial analysis, remote sensing, and data creation techniques when existing layers are unavailable.
- Process and analyze imagery from satellite, aerial, and UAS sources, including georectification, photogrammetry, and 3D modeling, to support environmental objectives such as habitat evaluation, ecosite assessment, and change detection.
- Review and provide feedback on GIS data submitted from environmental projects to ensure quality and compliance.
- Backup, update, QA/QC, and maintain all related GIS data in the GeoSharePoint and database/Tracker systems.
- Standardize and upload finalized project data, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Collaborate with government Points of Contact (POCs) and subject matter experts to maintain current CIP, CIP Priority 1, and Army Non-CIP data layers.
- Meet reporting and update requirements per AR 115-13, including quarterly updates to HQDA.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum two years of GIS-related experience, with the ability to interpret technical terminology, read plans and procedures, and perform complex scientific data labeling.
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS, spatial analysis, remote sensing, and photogrammetry.
- Familiarity with SDSFIE, QAP, FGDC metadata standards, and Army IGI&S Program requirements preferred.
- Ability to process and interpret aerial, satellite, and UAS imagery.
- Strong data management, QA/QC, and metadata documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
