SolidWorks experience is required5 years of senior product design experience10 years of advanced design of mechanical/ electro-mechanical assemblies, embedded industry preferredDesign of sheetmetal, machined parts, cable assemblies, and/or harnessesWorking knowledge of fasteners, press-in hardware, adhesives and assembly methodsKnowledge of materials (aluminum, plastics, copper …) and finishes (anodizing, painting, plating…)Basic structural and fluid dynamicsBasic thermal and airflow calculationsKnowledge in designing for thermal / vibration /shock applicationsUnderstanding of product design for outdoor, dynamic or harsh environments. Military product design highly desirableFamiliarity with MIL standards.
