  • Surgical Technologist I: $27.25-38.48/hour
  • Surgical Technologist II: $27.25-38.48/hour (with a 3% range adjustment)
This is an hourly position. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY: The Surgical Tech position provides basic care for patients across the life span. Performs duties of scrub person throughout the intra-operative phase of care. Recognizes significant conditions and reactions and notifies the appropriate patient care team. This position will require working 11 out every 12 weekends.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED Requires completion of a Surgical Tech program with the ability to sit for certification OR 2 years minimum working in a Surgical Tech role.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Surgical Technologist/Technician role if completion of a Surgical tech program has not been completed.
  • Licensure/ Certification:
  • American Heart Association CPR (BLS)
  • Other Skills/ Knowledge:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
  • Requires intra-operative orientation to learn department/unit policies, procedures and work routines; to develop competency in the use of medical equipment and instruments used in the procedure/operating room; to learn quality/safety standards; and to gain an understanding of the various types of surgical procedures within their service line.
