- Lead, develop, and supervise the production technology team capable of carrying out the essential elements of Company and departmental strategy, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise staff and activities and engage in all aspects of production technical services by setting attainable goals and objectives with follow through to successful completion.
- Provide technical services including maintenance, troubleshooting, engineering, technical planning, and equipment operations management for Midco Sports, Advertising Sales Production, and Marketing’s Creative Services, with the ability to train others.
- Evaluate, test and install new production related software and equipment.
- Compress, digitize, duplicate and store audio video data.
- Maintain inventories of audio and video assets (tapes, discs, digital files, etc.) as well as all related supplies.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing video to ensure quality and notify customers and the production team of issues.
- Handle incoming and outgoing Midco Sports Plus technology questions and issues from partner University’s staff and partner League’s/Conference’s staff.
- Successfully use transcoding software and hardware.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries regarding content viewed by subscribers.
- Function as an effective team leader by developing and directing staff and creating a positive work environment.
- Follow and serve as a role model in displaying Midco’s Core Values and Leadership Success Drivers.
- Maintain regular attendance to be available for your team and as required by your position.
- Be available to provide assistance to team members outside of normal business hours as necessary.

- High School Diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, television, journalism, or related field preferred
- 5 years experience or combination of work/education experience working with analog, digital and HD video is preferred.
- Experience with video engineering and audio, acoustical engineering as well as various audio/video formats and standard preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital AV workflows, streaming back-end and transcoding systems, and digital video encoding systems is required.
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 60 lbs.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
- Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
