Outside Sales Representative - Commercial Specification

- Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the specification process, including Architects, Designers, and Contractors.
- Develop a strategic territory sales plan and sales call schedule to effectively cover accounts.
- Track and report on activity and potential sales opportunities.
- Conduct product presentations and training sessions with A&E firms and contractors.
- Provide technical consultation on lighting design, code compliance, and energy efficiency standards.
- Work closely with internal support teams, manufacturers, and distribution partners to manage quoting, submittals, and project follow-up.
- 3+ years of outside sales experience in the lighting or electrical industry.
- Strong understanding of lighting technologies, lighting controls, and energy codes.
- Experience calling on specifiers required.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Based in Portland; valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- LC (Lighting Certified) or other relevant certifications a plus.
- Existing relationships within the Portland/Greater Oregon construction and electrical community.
