- Track and manage potential change orders (PCOs), including maintaining the PCO log and assisting with the conversion of PCOs to formal contract change orders.
- Prepare and submit pricing for extra work, including breakdowns and supporting documentation.
- Manage wage rate billing sheets and ensure proper tracking of labor-related costs.
- Submit required daily reports and project documentation in coordination with internal teams and customers.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Contracts teams to ensure all additional work is accurately captured, priced, and communicated to the customer.
- Support the sales team by tracking leads, developing rapport with customers, and assisting with project estimates (labor, freight, material, equipment).
- Use SafQuote and internal tools to prepare price quotes with input from branch leadership.
- Develop a working knowledge of branch labor cost structure, contracting and insurance procedures, and safety protocols.
- Learn the branch’s construction methods, inventory management systems, and scheduling challenges to support successful project execution.
- Assist in identifying and managing extra work opportunities beyond base contract scope.
- Construction or industrial background preferred but not required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with pricing or estimating tools is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
- Prior military service (e.g., junior officer) or hands-on experience in demanding outdoor environments (e.g., construction, fire/EMT, scouting, farming, sports) is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative.
