Do not apply through Indeed.com or use easy apply through Indeed.com*.The Research Administration invites applications for a temporary Public Education Specialist/Research Admin to join their team.80% - The Public Education Specialist will be responsible for planning, marketing and executing key trainings and trade forums as part of Montana World Trade Center’s service offering to Montana businesses engaged in international trade, aspiring global entrepreneurs and University of Montana (UM) students. More specifically, the individual occupying this role will orchestrate and deliver online webinars and conduct in-person events across the state of Montana, nationally, and internationally. The individual in this position will be responsible for planning, marketing and delivering a variety of events annually that add value for intended participants and bring revenue into MWTC through training fees or sponsorships.The person assigned to this position will also develop internal reports in support of MWTC operations and will work to increase overall member, client and student engagement. The individual assigned to this role will also supervise student interns, will be responsible for ensuring that all activities are in alignment with Montana World Trade Center’s mission, and will be an active participant in weekly meetings to ensure organizational alignment with all employees and partners of MWTC.20% - The Public Education Specialist is responsible for providing support and database management for the Montana APEX program and perform outreach and marketing assistance as requested.Outreach Assistance
  • Assist Montana APEX Subcenter Director with outreach plan for Missoula and six surrounding counties
  • Coordinate with Accelerate Montana’s Marketing team, and Montana APEX State lead center to promote events, and develop marketing materials and other collateral
  • Collaborate and assist in coordination and implementation of training workshops
  • Notify APEX clients of upcoming trainings, events, pertinent information, etc. Help develop a workshop and training plan to meet the goals of the program
  • Event planning and coordination
Neoserra database management
  • Research and input client award data for federal, state and local awards
  • Develop and maintain high level of working knowledge in Neoserra Database and its capabilities and functionality
  • Retrieve reports and present information from Neoserra
  • Monitor active and inactive client levels and update status as needed
  • Monitor level of Bid match utilization to maximize slots available for clients that are actively reviewing rewards, deactivate clients that are not actively viewing
Required Skills
  • Hands-on experience in training development and delivery across multiple platforms and in conjunction with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to message effectively to various stakeholder groups (e.g. clients, stakeholders, members).
  • Event planning, outreach, and marketing experience
  • Knowledge of client management data base systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience coordinating the responsibilities of a professional office
Minimum Required Education and Experience
  • BA or BS degree and two years of experience in administrative support interfacing directly with business owners or past government contracting experience
  • Experience with business startup consulting; or any combination of experience and education
