What You’ll Do:
  • Custom Fabrication & Welding: Interpret advanced technical drawings and work from verbal direction or conceptual sketches to fabricate custom components with MIG and some stick welding.
  • Precision Fitting & Assembly: Fit and assemble multi-part custom builds, including mockups and prototypes.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot unique fabrication challenges with minimal guidance; iterate and adapt in real-time.
  • Creative Metalwork: Use forming, bending, cutting, and finishing techniques to create specialized structures.
  • Machining & Modification: Operate manual machining tools to fabricate or modify project-specific parts.
  • Inspection & Testing: Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure tolerances and quality standards.
  • Project Support: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and production teams on custom and experimental builds.
  • Tool & Workspace Care: Maintain clean, organized, and safe working conditions.
Who You Are:
  • Experienced & Adaptable: Minimum 1 year of welding/fabrication experience, preferably with custom, prototype, or one-off projects.
  • Blueprint Fluent: Able to read and interpret complex blueprints, sketches, and schematics.
  • Detail-Oriented: Produces consistently high-quality welds and fabrications.
  • Creative Thinker: Enjoys building new things, solving unique problems, and working outside the box.
  • Technically Skilled: Strong proficiency in layout, fitting, welding, measuring, and general fabrication processes.
  • Safety-Minded: Always adheres to safety standards and best practices.
  • Collaborative: Works well with engineers, designers, and fellow fabricators in a team environment.
