Spirit AeroSystems focuses on affordable, innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions to support customers around the globe.The Role: On a typical day, but not limited to, the Supplier Quality Program Focal is responsible for involvement with program on all supplier issues. This involves attending all meetings, producing metrics of supplier performance and tracking issues to closure related to suppliers. Coordinate with Production, as well as Supply Chain Management, on supplier issues. Provide technical expertise to company employees, suppliers, customers and coaching on the Quality System
ResponsibilitiesKey Accountabilities:
  • Participating in all program meetings involving supplier products
  • Investigate supplier product rejected by production shop floor for validation of supplier responsibility.
  • Notifying Factory Facing, Supplier Quality Representative and Supplier Quality management of supplier issues within the program
  • Producing 4 squares or PowerPoints to depict supplier issues and resolution
  • Monitor and report on supplier issues to program
  • Meet deadlines for producing metrics and documentation to support supplier improvement or resolution of supplier nonconformities
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Production Quality
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and operations
  • Experience in working with internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Experience with presenting to and interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Competence in Root Cause and Corrective Action
  • Strong ability to read drawings and First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Use of SAP/MES
  • Proficient in 2D and MBD
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualificaions:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 yrs Experience in a quality
  • Experience in a leadership/management position
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and EASA requirements
  • Experience in Aerospace
  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Experience working with multiple cross functional groups
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
