Location: O'Fallon, MO 63366Shift timing: 5:40 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. (Monday Thursday)Designing sheet metal progressive stamping dies is a must have
- Design the following;
- Progressive pierce and form dies which will include stock strip development
- Single hit pierce and form dies.
- Special tools such as robotic weld fixtures, assembly fixtures and drill fixtures.
- Drilling & routing machines
- Custom machine fabrication applications varying in degree of complexity.
- Rebuild and redesign existing tooling to be upgraded, sometimes with little or no documentation.
- Develop and work with working sketches.
- Convert 2D drawings to 3D SolidWorks drawings when necessary. other 3d software's acceptable
- Consult and work with tool and die makers, design and production engineers, press operators and assembly line workers as required to ensure proper part and die design criteria is met.
- Plot drawings, create bill of materials and order materials and commercial items for die and machine projects.
- Assemble project files for shop distribution and records.
- Communicate frequently with leadership team and project requesters regarding status of projects.
- Provide quotes as needed for dies, special machines and fixtures as needed
- Associates' degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- One or more years related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organizations
