Due to Federal requirements, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens or US Permanent Residents, holding a green card, will be considered.The ServiceNow SRE team is a group of highly technical engineers who are tasked with maintaining and developing the reliability, scalability and performance of the ServiceNow cloud infrastructure.Our SRE's are empowered to drive technical resolutions across the technology stack from hardware through to application and all stops in between. They are also tasked with driving forward the operability of the platform to drive down the number of incidents and to reduce MTTR.To accomplish this our SRE"s combine software development, networking and systems engineering expertise with a strong desire to be challenged by problems of scale and complexity and to make services better for our customers.What you get to do in this role:As a Federal SRE you will help deliver 24x7 support for our Government Cloud infrastructure. This is a Day shift position and has a 10-hour 4-day work week, Sunday - Wednesday with working shift hours from 07:00 - 17:00 Pacific Standard Time.At ServiceNow, our SREs are empowered to drive technical resolutions across the technology stack from hardware through to application and all stops in between. They are also tasked with driving forward the operability of the platform to drive down the number of incidents and to reduce MTTR.

QualificationsTo be successful in this role you have:
  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years experience with deep knowledge of Linux systems
  • 4+ years experience scripting automation at the enterprise level in various languages; we normally prefer Python, JavaScript
  • Expert level database skills in administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Expertise in Observability and Monitoring of applications, services, and networks at scale
  • Experience with Cloud technologies, preferably Azure
  • Senior level networking skills, IP addressing and routing
  • Team-first attitude and an uncompromising attention to detail
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work in shifts that cover one weekend day
  • Experience developing on the ServiceNow Platform is a bonus
JV20For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $126,700 - $215,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs.
