- Lead execution of significant rail/transit project delivery.
- Demonstrated expertise in the area of managing and preparing transportation project teams.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of projects deliverables.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepares technical specification sections
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
- Establish relationships with local agencies and be a visible leader/trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM's values both internally and externally.
- A desire to work with external contractors/consultants, AECOM's other divisions/regions and interact directly with major clients local and globally.
- Manage staff and tasks associated with rail/transit contracts.
- Support various rail professional services pursuits related to major rail capital programs including light rail, heavy rail, or commuter rail.
- Manage multidiscipline teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget on multi-million tasks or projects.
- Lead meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior to mid-level staff.
- Responsible for the whole project lifecycle from planning, design, procurement, construction, integration, commissioning, and closeout.
- Develop and maintain the project execution plan for assigned projects.
- Investigate, negotiate, and resolve project issues.
- BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- BS in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in organizational development and leadership; client service management; leading delivery of program management, design, and/or construction management services, and/or business development activities for large-scale transportation/transit clients and/or projects.
- 2+ years of experience in managing the delivery of large complex rail transit projects.
- Experience must include continuous design management responsibility, including management of design services during construction. The experience must include interfacing with state and local jurisdictions.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software programs.
- PE in the state of California or ability to obtain registration within 6 months.
- Ability to create grading plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads or OpenRail.
- Familiarity with plan/profile creation for rail projects.
- Track and manage task budgets and schedule experience.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction.
- Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for design/project management/program management.
- Ability to analyze and inspire innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of organizational ability, capable of pivoting and re-prioritizing to meet changing project needs and deadlines.
- Proficiency and knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft (MS) word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Travel is not required for this position.
