- Provide strong leadership to the global accounting organization to ensure the integrity of our financial statements, adherence to US GAAP, and timely financial analysis.
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial statement analysis for the U.S. and consolidated company utilized for reporting to senior leadership and external reporting for the public company.
- Lead the accounting, analysis and reporting for multiple financial statement areas, including but not limited to, stock compensation, equity, capitalized G&A, insurance. Consistently assess compliance of U.S. GAAP guidance and appropriateness of high judgment accounting estimates, including documenting policies and conclusions
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the accounting organization to establish scalable processes and efficiency.
- Be an exceptional business partner to various departments and the global accounting team to facilitate internal reporting, analysis, and ad hoc requests.
- Coach and develop team members, including next level leaders. Development includes review and providing feedback on analysis and other deliverables prepared by the team, driving team member assignment and prioritization to meet company deadlines, produce high quality work products, and enable team members to maximize their potential and grow their careers at Prologis.
- Provide mentorship, support and motivation to the accounting team and embody Prologis’ traits and the Finance Leadership Principles.
- Certified Public Accountant with at least eight years of experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting experience and corporate accounting experience at a large international company.
- Demonstrated robust analytical, process improvement, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proven expertise in analytical thinking, process improvement, and problem-solving.
- Strong ability to leverage data and U.S. GAAP knowledge to validate and improve financial analytics and reports.
- Extensive experience in interpreting and applying U.S. GAAP guidance and SEC regulations to enhance financial reporting.
- Proven leadership skills, including developing and growing team members, with prior supervisory experience required.
- Independently identify and implement strategic goals in collaboration with team members.
- Strong ability to operate in the grey and create a playbook for new areas and processes, as applicable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating effectively across various functional and business teams, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple tasks and reporting deadlines under pressure, while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong IT and financial systems aptitude.
