The Area Business Lead, LTC will collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop and execute a comprehensive business plan tailored to the Long-Term Care ecosystem. This includes engaging with key LTC systems of care such as skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, LTC pharmacies, and integrated delivery networks to co-create value for Otsuka, healthcare providers, and the patients they serve.Job DescriptionCollaborate with the ecosystem cross-functional team to develop and execute the ecosystem strategy to enhance customer satisfaction, improve patient outcomes, and create business opportunities for Otsuka, with a specific focus on the LTC environment.Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the LTC environment, including regulatory requirements, operational challenges, and the specific needs of residents, to effectively position solutions that add value to LTC facilities.Develop and drive the ecosystem commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with the unique priorities of LTC facilities, including operational demands, patient outcomes, and compliance objectives.Lead a team of Neuroscience LTC Specialists within an ecosystem to drive appropriate clinical demand and improve patient and customer experiences, leveraging insights from LTC facilities.Execute and adapt the regional/ecosystem plan to achieve patient-centric objectives, KPIs, and performance targets, incorporating LTC-specific strategies.Identify and cultivate local and regional strategic relationships with key decision-makers within LTC facilities, such as administrators, directors of nursing, and pharmacy managers, to gain insights into each facility’s goals and pain points.Continuously scan the industry and broader commercial environment to identify best practices in the healthcare ecosystem, including LTC, and integrate them into Otsuka through innovative account management processes.Consolidate insights gathered from the field force and other sources (e.g., analytics) to inform regional business plans, with a focus on LTC facilities.Coach Neuroscience LTC Specialists to shape customer plans based on market dynamics to address customer needs and deliver performance against Neuroscience LTC Specialists and ecosystem KPIs, including those relevant to LTC.Collaborate with ecosystem cross-functional partners to develop and execute customer engagement strategies and initiatives, gaining insights and perspectives through strong external customer interaction, primary and secondary market research, and field organization, with an emphasis on LTC facilities, associations and thought leaders.Build, maintain, and leverage networks and relationships in the complex healthcare ecosystem, including LTC, to gain insight into customer needs and priorities and contribute to improved customer, patient, and business outcomes.Partner with customers (e.g., leaders in IDNs) within the ecosystem by improving and maintaining ongoing relationships and establishing patient-centric platforms for strategic partnership, including those in LTC.Understand the unique needs of each customer in their pursuit of improved patient outcomes, lower costs, and improved quality of care by building, maintaining, and leveraging networks and relationships in the healthcare ecosystem, including LTC, and co-creating solutions with customers.Collaborate across ecosystem roles in support of shared patient-centric and customer engagement quality goals, including customizing local field deployment based on local needs and developing ecosystem strategic plans and KPIs, with consideration for LTC facilities.Integrate, synthesize, and harness knowledge from established relationships to develop a deep understanding of the ecosystem, including LTC, and effectively influence the system to deliver improved patient outcomes.Conduct business to the highest ethical and professional standards, consistent with Otsuka guidelines and policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in all communications and activities.Drive a high-performance, patient-centric, highly engaged culture within the LTC ecosystem.Create and foster a culture that is collaborative and customer-centric to ensure solutions are designed to continuously enhance customer engagement, satisfaction, and improved patient outcomes, with a focus on LTC.Provide adaptive leadership and coaching to the team to support, motivate, and enable them to successfully deliver the business plan and priorities, including those related to LTC.Ensure that the sales goals and forecasts for the region are consistent with the organization’s long-range strategic objectives, incorporating LTC-specific insights.Lead business analysis to identify and recommend strategic opportunities to maximize business results, incorporating input and ideas from across Otsuka, with a focus on LTC.Track the ecosystem customer experience, both formally and informally, and use this information to enhance customer engagement and strategy, including insights from LTC facilities.Foster a cross-functional account environment that is collaborative and customer-centric to engage the customer as solution partners across the portfolio, with an emphasis on LTC.Experience & QualificationsBachelor’s degree required; MBA or other relevant graduate degree preferred.Essential experience in pharmaceutical sales, healthcare management, or a related field. Direct experience in the Long-Term Care (LTC) sector, including engagement with skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, or LTC pharmacy providers, is highly advantageous.Demonstrated success in leading account managers or alliance/partnership managers, with a focus on developing and executing strategic account plans tailored to the LTC environment, including contracting with health systems, LTC organizations, and integrated delivery networks (IDNs).Cross-functional experience in commercial life sciences (pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or related industries), particularly in roles involving collaboration with LTC stakeholders, payers, and health systems, is a strong plus.Proven ability to navigate and lead in complex, evolving healthcare ecosystems, including those undergoing transformation within the LTC space.Strong track record in coaching, mentoring, and developing talent, especially in LTC-focused sales or account management teams, to exceed performance goals.Consistent achievement of financial and qualitative performance targets, with a focus on LTC market dynamics and business drivers.In-depth knowledge of strategy development, including LTC-specific contracting strategies, reimbursement models, and pull-through initiatives, is highly desirable.Previous field sales management and/or marketing experience in Neuroscience, Nephrology, or other therapeutic areas relevant to LTC populations is preferred.Comprehensive understanding of healthcare compliance, legal, and regulatory frameworks, with specific emphasis on LTC regulatory requirements, CMS guidelines, and industry standards.Valid U.S. driver’s license and acceptable driving record.#LI-RemoteCompetencies
