Business Control Specialist I

- Participate in Enterprise Risk Management and Corporate Compliance Committee functions and prepare monthly presentations
- Implements internal procedures to ensure timely and accurate delivery of Adverse Action Notices in accordance with ECOA and Reg B guidelines
- Partner with underwriting and appraisal to avoid material risk that could result in a repurchase request from an investor
- Collaborate with the Custodian Management team to ensure efficiency in the collateral process and eliminate redundancies in the internal/external reviews
- Develop and monitor Client level finding reports and recommend remediation as appropriate
- Address operational risks within the Fulfillment process and ensure that changes in process are contemplated holistically prior to implementation
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
- Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years experience in management reporting, developing policies & procedures, dealing with complexity, problem solving, legal compliance, knowledge of Reg Z, Reg X & Dodd Frank.
- Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
- Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
