General Plastics is committed to quality, innovation, and timely delivery, making us a trusted partner for complex, mission-critical composite part needs.Position Summary:The Manufacturing Material Test Engineer (Quality Assurance Engineer) will be responsible for leading the materials test group, providing timely support to our internal or external customers, and monitoring the quality of GP product, and supporting the application and execution of our AS9100 based quality management system.This is an advanced, technical position within the General Plastics' Quality Assurance Department who reports to the Quality Operations Manager.This is not a software engineering position.Responsibilities:Manage the test facilities and equipmentDevelop and train test techniciansDevelop, implement and maintain test procedures,Manage, Interpret, and Report test data to internal and external stakeholdersEnsuring that all tests are performed at least to the applied standardsWork with Operations, R&D, Engineering and Sales teams to evaluate and test products for both new development and monitoring of existing productsValidate new processes and productsLead review and disposition of identified potential non-conforming productLead and/or assist internal auditing processes for quality assurance and compliance Requirements:Engineering degree in a relevant field, e.g., B. Eng.
