GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:The Herman Brown Free Library is looking for an energetic, friendly, flexible person to be a part of our team. This part-time position is a minimum of 24 hours per week, worked as four days per week, and requires at least one Saturday per month. Job duties include, but are not limited to, customer service (abundance of patience required), basic library work, basic technology troubleshooting, as well as additional responsibilities as assigned. This is a physically demanding job that requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and includes lifting heavy boxes of books. Applicant must have a strong work ethic, be detail oriented, have a willingness to learn, and be able to work closely with team members and independently as needed. This position requires strong customer service skills, working knowledge of current Microsoft Office applications and use of office equipment, and knowledge of current technology trends.
