You'll help shape the tools that drive Walmart's store-specific space planning-tools that directly influence how we bring our corporate space strategies to life. You'll work across multiple platforms (PC, web, and mobile), integrating cutting-edge technologies to build robust, user-friendly products. - Design, develop, and deploy products that support merchandise space planning across Walmart stores
- Support and enhance our existing stack, including web apps, SQL databases, and Azure VMs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on high-impact projects
- Break down complex problems into simple, elegant solutions
- Build with an understanding of system interdependencies and limitations
- Share your expertise in programming, performance, testing, and best practices with your peers
- Work directly with end-users to deliver solutions that drive corporate strategy
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems (or related field) and 4+ years of professional software development experience, OR 6+ years of relevant experience
- Advanced skills in object-oriented programming (C#, VB.NET)
- Full-stack expertise: C#, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, SQL, HTML, SVG
- AI technology development and implementation
- Experience with GitHub and web service technologies
- Knowledge of Azure virtual servers, Cosmos DB, and related components
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for quality and customer experience, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to think abstractly
- Experience with SQL Server Spatial components
- ASP.NET, MVC, REST, and SPA GUI design
- Advanced multi-threaded application development
- Leading roles in designing and delivering successful web applications
- Mastery of software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle
- Background in distributed computing and service-oriented architecture
